"Emotion", Eli Siegel writes, "is always a yes and no of self, shown through the body", and this can be seen in the most subtle actions of men and women in love. 

The young man in this photograph leans forward, tilting his head questioningly, but his hands are in his pockets, and something is withheld. The young woman has her hands folded in her lap, and she doesn't seem to be looking at him, even though their foreheads are almost touching.  Here is closeness and reserve, and the complexity of a human relationship.
