At first glance, this looks like two little girls getting to know each other, but it is really one little girl gazing deeply into the face of a department store mannequin.   What stopped me in my tracks when I saw this was the strange relation of sameness and difference between the two of them, and how much the little girl wanted to know her inanimate friend.
