It was exciting to see two dogs running and leaping at breakneck speed through snowy underbrush, against a background of misty trees. Suddenly, they stopped and looked at me, and their relation to the tree in the foreground got me even more excited. It has a sharply defined form and texture like gnarled skin, which keeps the photograph from becoming too soft. Visually, it has an importance comparable to the two dogs, and together they form a surprising trio.
