These boys were committed to the game of football, playing during a blizzard. Each one is a different relation of energy and fatigue, lightness and heaviness, and if you were to draw a line through them, you would see a rise and fall like notes of music on a page.  Something similar is going on in the background with the high and low of utility poles and a weighty shipyard made lightsome in the falling snow.
